im not understanding the yellow screens vs the yellow blotches. are the screen apparently yellow or is it that yellow that the 3g had where it was just the way the colors were.
 
The current theory is that it the glue that holds the screen and glass together. It will disappear in time as it dries.

The glue is yellow. The screen itself is not yellow.

The iPhone 4 is NOT affected like the 27" iMac and the yellow tint issue. The iPhone 3G was yellow because of an improperly calibrated screen and was fixed with firmware 2.0.1.
 
I thought the yellow screen thing (not the strip thing) was just the usual yearly warmth "problem".

Mine seems "cool" thankfully, although the warmth usual only stands out to me when the phone's next to one that's blue-ish.

yea only when u compare it to another phone do u notice it. but that would happen with any phone.
