There is one at my campus's Apple store so I called the immediately after I heard they had been discontinued and told them I wanted it. They are holding it for me until they hear back from Apple on what to do with them.

But are they even going to be able to sell it to me or are they going to have to ship it back to Apple?

If they can sell it to me, anybody know what I should expect to be paying?

Course they can sell it to you. Why on earth wouldn't they?

Just because something is end of line, doesn't mean they ship them all back to Apple. If anything, you could try and wag a good deal.

The moment a product is declared discontinued, all remaining stock must be destroyed - it's the law.

Ever wondered why there are those huge smoke plumes ?
Last year's Chevys and Fords !

What? In the UK, discontinued stock certainly isn't destroyed when a product is discontinued. What a waste that'd be..
