what are you doing for MLK day?

The Library.
I'm still figuring out but I may go down to an event at the University of Chicago, but I also may see a speaker about MLK's visit to the suburb I live in in '65. Most importantly, I'm just keeping all the great things he did in my thoughts for the day...
 
Probably the same thing I do everyday, nuthin'. I start my new semester tomorrow, so I guess I'll try to make the best of it. Not goin' out either, freezing rain. Everything has a cool ice glaze over them. Maybe I'll take some pictures...
 
I'm relatively new to Atlanta and I'm kicking myself for not going to the MLK Memorial last year, so I'm going today. It's supposed to start raining later today, so I'd best be off sooner rather than later.

I sort of meant in honor of MLK, not just what are you doing with a day off.

We don't get MLK day off so it's business as usual for me--just working, working, working.
 
I slept till 11:30, I have a ton of homework to do, and I'll probably watch the second part of the season premier of 24 where the constantly descriminate Arabs and Muslims.

I know, not very good.
 
Oh, I'll probably just pin 95 Theses to a door somewhere, I dunno...

WPI doesn't like to give us extra days off from school, so it's classes as usual for me... although at my high school we had finals the week following MLK day, so I'd spend it studying.. so I suppose this is an improvement over that :p
 
Working. Our first paid holiday isn't until Memorial Day! May's a loong way away...so far, you might as well just say June!

seriously though, that's too bad. you should get both off. then again, most people forget the meaning of most national holidays.
 
Working. Although I work for a college, we're classified as a medical center along with the hospital that's open 24/7/365. Almost all holidays are "banked" which means that we don't actually close, but you have to arrange when you take them. Unless you have a specific event to attend, they are usually saved for tacking on to vacation or used as sick time when needed.
