I'm going to start a poll on how many polls/threads about "what are you getting" there should be. Because the current number of about 100 isn't quite enough....but I want to check the public opinion.

I also started a poll tonight, but specific to contract-free buyers. Wasn't sure if yours was meant to cover all options.

Correct, this is to cover all options, thanks for linking your poll, I will be buying contract-free so I've voted in yours.

I apologize DeftwillP, I'm just excited about the pre-orders. But please feel free to link that thread in here and I will be glad to vote.

6 - 64GB - Stuck on color ;(

My previous iPhones were:

iPhone 4GB
iPhone 3GS White (wife)
iPhone 4 16GB Black (was the only choice at the time)
iPhone 4S 16GB White (wife)
iPhone 5 32GB Silver
iPhone 5s 32GB Gold (wife)

I think Silver/Gold look better with most case colors (due to white face), but this time time around I am going to get Space Gray instead. With iPhone 6's rounded design, space gray more seamlessly blends in with the screen. At least that's how looks in photos and video anyway.

Great post from somebody who has owned an iPhone since the original days. Salute to you!

Mine goes this route:
iPhone 3G black
iPhone 4 16GB black (AT&T)
iPhone 4 16GB white (verizon)
iPhone 5 16GB black (verizon)
iPhone 5s 16GB space gray (verizon)

and after tonight iPhone 6 64GB space gray (verizon)

Mods should probably combine all of these "which one are you getting threads" into one.

I'm really interested to see how sales break down between the 6 and 6+. I get the feeling that the 6 will be more popular among the general public but the 6+ seems to be more popular among the macrumors community.

Fair point, and yes it does appear the 6 plus seems to be more popular here. But to be fair, a lot of people have been waiting for a larger sized iPhone, so hopefully 5.5" is sufficient for those who've been waiting.

This was a HUGE debate for me. Ultimately I ended up deciding on the iPhone 6 64GB.

The iPhone 6 Plus Is just more phone than I need. I never text message or email in landscape so the added features the Plus has with its UI just weren't a selling point to me. What I will be disappointed about not having is the image stabilization, better screen resolution, and better battery life.

Wish Apple went with a 5 inch screen; that would have been perfect.

Might as well add in my list as well:

iPhone 3GS 16GB Black
iPhone 4 16GB Black
iPhone 5s 16GB Space Gray

And tonight, iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Silver!

Time to finally switch up the color.
