A week ago I got my MBA 13" ultimate replacing my early 2008 MBP and what a change!

The MBA is not a gaming device I know but it seems that people actually are playing quite a lot on their MBA's anyways.
I just started this thread to kind of collect all gameing-on-MBA experinces. So what are you playing on your MBA and how does it perform?

I haven't played anything but Civ V on medium settings for about 10 minutes so I guess I'm kind disqualified...

i've got the 11" 128ssd 1.6ghz i5 version and playing:
left 4 dead from Steam
gta vice city from mac store
asphalt 5 from mac store
time crisis from mac store

Left 4 dead runs really well on default settings, if playing online I might notice very slight lag at some points, however i think this is more due to my network connection than anything.

One thing i have noticed is that the base of the MBA gets quite hot and the cpu temperature goes up near 100 but just play with it on a wooden table or whatever to dissipate heat and it works a-OK. I believe that there is an inbuilt safety mechanism to shut down the computer long before the processor overheats to the point of it breaking itself!

Civ 5 lags for me even on the lowest settings on the 2011 MBA 13" ultimate. It's impossible to ignore the lag so I've stopped playing for now.

On my 2009 2.53Ghz 4GB RAM MBP Asphalt 6 had the frame rates hammer every 30 seconds or so.. Enough for races to be screwed up because it would mainly happen at unoppurtune times. On my Base 13" Air it's night a day difference. Not a single hammer, races load 5X faster. I was shocked.

Under Native OSX - 2010 13" MBA Ultimate

1) WoW - Very Addicted
2) Diablo II
3) Starcraft
4) Warcraft
5) Dragon Age 1 and II

Under Bootcamp:

- Mass Effect 2 - not nearly as good as playing on my iMac

From the sounds of it the Air is reasonable for games-it's not brilliant but you can have fun with a variety of titles.

The next Air refresh should be great for gaming. I'll probably switch from the Macbook Pro to an Air for my next laptop in a few years. :)

I just bought the game "The Movies: Superstar" from the App Store. I had bought it a long time ago for my PC, but I'm currently doing a little multimedia project for a class, and found it on the App Store, so I'm probably going to end up using it for that.

I have played Portal and Portal 2 (single player and co-op mode), played but still in the middle of Bioshock, played Half Life 2 (but never finished), and am in the middle of Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Other smaller games are things like Angry Birds, and World of Goo.

My only complaint is that the fans start roaring very quickly with the more graphic intensive games. I usually just turn up the sound to drown it out though :D

I play Civ 5 on a 2010 MBA 13" ultimate with little to no lag at even the highest settings.

While the newer MBA's have much faster processors, they downgraded the graphics capability and the loss is worst seen in gaming.
