I was wondering what they will do with the older models of the iPhone after the new one launches.

You have to figure they will offer a $99 version of the iPhone 4S and Free version of the iPhone 4 (both when signing a 2 year contract) (And however the prices are broken down in other countries will most likely remain the same as well).

So The questions are: (At least these are ones I am wondering about)

1 - Will they give the iPhone 4 and the 4S the new smaller dock connector?

2a* - Will they both be 8 GB models? Or will we see them jump to 16 GB models?

2b* - Assuming they do only 32 GB and 64 GB for the new iPhone, would the $99 4S be 16 GB, and the iPhone 4 be 8 GB? (If they do not update the dock connector, they wouldn't have to alter what they are currently manufacturing, which would be cost effective) (More than likely, if they make any of these changes, the free iPhone 4 will be 8 GB no matter what)

3 - Could the battery that was just leaked be the new battery for the redesigned iPhone 4S?

*I do not think they will have anything bigger than a 64 GB model available for the new phone... so my logic here is that they would go back to only having two different storage capacities of the new iPhone: A 32 GB model, and a 64 GB model. (i.e. iPhone 4: 16 GB and 32 GB White or Black)

I hope they do this... This aligns with the folks who think they won't increase the capacity due to iCloud and iTunes Match as well as everyone who thinks the prices should drop because large capacity thumb drives and Micro SD Cards have become inexpensive (A 64 GB micro SD can be purchased for only $64)
