Tell us your favorite firefox extensions and explain what they do.

I'll start:

- StumbleUpon: Brings up random web pages based on your interests.
- DownThemAll: Very effective download manager.
- Fasterfox: Speeds up firefox.
- Fission: Gives the progress bar in the address bar like Safari.
- GrApple: A theme that makes firefox look much more mac-ish.

I absolutely cannot live without:

- TabMixPlus: wrangle your tab behavior to your very specific needs
- FoxMarks: sync bookmarks across multiple computers, completely automatic

Nice to have:
- GrApple for Uno theme
- Stop or Reload extension -- the stop and reload buttons become a single button
- FlashBlock - don't show Flash elements on a page until you click on them

Context Search - Expands the context menu's 'Search for' item into a list of installed search engines, allowing you to choose a specific search engine every time.

AdBlock Plus - to get rid of unwanted flash contents (I think it's better than Flash Block).

British English Dictionary (anyboy know why this lists as uncompatible with Firefox 2.0.0.3?) and Norsk Bokmål og Nynorsk ordliste.

Tab Mix Plus
Add Context Menu

Those are "must have"s. But I've got a bunch of others installed. Not sure any more what's default behaviour, and what's enabled via Extensions.

I used to have a lot. but now Im switching between mac/win/linux, I only have essential extensions:

adblock+
mouse gesture
compact menu
chromatabs
google toolbar
fireftp
rip
