What are your thoughts on a NEW 30" Apple Cinema Display?

Do you think Apple will release a NEW matte 30" Cinema Display in the future? The glossy is nice but I think there is still a big market for professionals wanting a new 30" matte display from Apple.

What are your thoughts?

"A big market for professionals" is not the same as "a big market", which is what Apple cares about. The 30" display is a niche product much in the same way the XServe was.
 
Why would they discontinue the model they already made, if they planned to reintroduce basically the same thing? It's extremely unlikely.
 
Very unlikely. They are big fans of glossy stuff now, and if it was going to happen, the current 27" would have been it. Plus Apple displays are overpriced anyhow.

there not overpriced actually, the 30" cost as much as a dell 30" does. And the 27" isnt overpirced either, you get increadible resolution, isight, mic, good speaker, and amazing build quality. No other screen on the market has that
 
It won't happen.

16:9 displays are cheaper to produce, which is why the computer industry is moving away from 16:10. In turn this restricts Apple in terms of resolutions - they can go smaller to 1920x1080 (ie: 21.5"), or bigger.

Secondly, Apple are moving away from matte to gloss - and if you really want a matte display, you buy one elsewhere. They only concede the point somewhat with the 15 and 17" MBPs by offering the option, as you can't simply change the monitor.
