Hi All,

My old MBP Core2Duo has a 6bit per color channel screen, which means that you get banding on smooth gradients like blue skies, which you don't get with 8bit or 10bit screens.

So what bit depth is the screen in MBP 17inch, also interested in the other new MBPs?

In PC land you can get laptops with 8bit and HP do a 10bit dreamcolor option.

Still 6 bit I believe.

Wish Apple made a professional laptop like the HP Elitebook.
