So a little poll here ;) If the browser that you're using is not listed, tell us what it is and where did you downloaded it. Tell us also why did you chose one browser over others, especially if your browser isn't listed.

If there's other "fresh" threads about this, please let me know so Modes can close this!

Always, till death, and forever: FIREFOX :D

Why: great and and most importantly practical add-ons, multitouch gesture superiority over other browsers, works well if you have slow connection (loads text before pictures faster than others), and ........the list goes on.

Safari 3.2
Excellent UI (buttons, more screen real estate).
No crash problems for me.
Lower memory usage than FF.
Renders sites better than FF (opinion).
Adblock for Safari and Clicktoflash are the only addons I use.

Will probably switch to Safari 4 when it goes live, but with Safari 3 like modifications. May keep tabs on top, undecided as of yet.

firefox (rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090604 Minefield/3.6a1pre

why? build in functions, addons.

I'm using Safari 4 Beta on my iMac, MacBook Pro, and on my Dell at work.

I'm about ready to switch back to Safari 3.2 on my work machine because it crashes about 5 times a day. I'm not sure if it's Windows or something in Safari, but it's so annoying.

I've been using Safari ever since version 2. I don't use Firefox and I could care less about extensions.

I just installed SafariBlock add-on for Safari, and I have to say, it's amazing. Al pages loads in nanoseconds.

It was buggy on my laptop too. I guess Apple isn't going to make it good for Windows because they want people to buy a Mac :apple:

You get used to the tabs being on top. I thought it was really weird looking when I first started using Safari 4 Beta, but then after a couple of weeks of using it, I was fine.

Opera 10 Beta, I have been using all the alphas and it has been making steady progress along the way.

Tried twice to get used to it. Tabs on bottom for me.

how do you like the tab thumbnail on top of the toolbar in opera 10 b? is it practical?

If you want the tabs to be in "normal" place (where they are in Safari 3) go to iTunes store and search "Macworld video", there you can find "Safari 4 BETA Tweeks" which has instructions for moving the tabs back.

First and foremost, I am a Firefox user. However, that doesn't mean I don't occasionally use other browsers. Safari gets the most use when I'm not in Firefox.

I use Firefox because of the extensions, particularly NoScript, Adblock Plus, Greasemonkey, and Stylish.

Needs work, with more than say 10 tabs open it offers little benefit. Currently not able to assign a shortcut for it and it doesn't work on the side of the browser.

In its current state I just don't use it, I get previews when alt+tab ing through the tabs or hovering over them anyway, when the shortcut works it may get more use.

yeah. I kinda feel like they should devote a button or a gesture for it, and put it on the side, since most people will have more horizontal space than vertical space, and those thumbnails are quite space demanding.

I use Safari 4.0 Beta.

I agree. I got used to the tabs on top and now even prefer it to the bottom.
