I tried Chrome again for the first time in a few months, and I really liked it. Scrolling is natural, and page loads are literally three times faster than Safari 6.

I felt like running a survey of MacRumors users' browser choices. Also will be great Statistics project (even though the data will be based on voluntary response). Remember: This is asking what your main browser of choice is.

Thanks!

For recommendations on browsers, you may find some useful information in some of the many existing threads, such as these:

You understand that old threads are a) outdated b) dead and buried.

In the world of browsers, time is a crucial determining factor as to how well a browser performs.

There are like a trillion threads asking this same question already but in any case...Chrome trumps all.

I was a Firefox user until they started the rapid release cycle. I liked a few of the add-ons available but have stayed with Safari 6 as of recent. It seems plenty fast enough and fine for my needs.

If you took the time to look, all those threads have posts as recent as July 2011 through yesterday, and over half have posts in 2012.

And with Google Chrome having a rolling update system, even posts from a month ago may not be relavent. Also, Safari 6 became available very recently for most people, and a comparison between Safari 6 and Google Chrome 21.whatthehell has not been released yet.

There are plenty of recent browser threads. You can filter a site-restricted Google search by date. Browsers haven't changed that quickly considering how many recent threads there are on this topic.

You're not going to get timely information changes. People use what they prefer. They don't constantly test every browser release.

I use all the popular browsers for various reasons. I will list them in order of my preference. Ahead of the list I must say my current fav is Chrome. It's so fast, fun & the plethora of highly useful extensions truly improve my workflow in ways no other browser can.

Perhaps I've been lucky, as I've had zero problems. I've read where many feel the Mac Version is inferior to the Windows version. That's contrary to my experience. I use Chrome as my primary browser on both platforms & find they are identical in speed & stability.

Here's the list. They're all the most current versions.

1) Chrome
2) Canary
3) Safari
4) Opera
5) Firefox

I use Chrome because swiping back on Safari is slow and gives me a white page for about 1-4 seconds.

I enjoy Safari but since the new 6th, I have to use a second one to display html code.

on ML Safari is just fantastic
I downloaded Chrome just now to do a speed test and Safari 19Mbps vs Chrome 17. something

before updating to ML from SL I used Chrome 90% of the time
