what cables do i need to connect 13" macbook to HDTV

Was hoping to connect my 13" aluminium macbook to a samsung HDTV. There are so many cables on the apple store, so I am not entirely sure what I need. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a ton of people who have asked this same exact question. Your best bet is to shop at monoprice.

Is this what the port looks like? If yes then you need a minidisplay port to HDMI. Apple doesn't make on so you will need to get a 3rd party one.

Also you may want to check if your Tv has a audio input that is with the HDMI input. Because I recently connected mine to my tv and my macbook doesn't output audio through mini display so I have to use speakers.

either 3.5mm stereo to 3.5 stereo or 3.5 mm stereo to RCA stereo for the audio.

That is if your TV has an HDMI/DVI connection point with separate audio. If not there are other alternatives.

Ye i do have a minidisplay port. can u recommend a few 3rd party cables?

Get this and use your own HDMI cable.

I am assuming the stereo cable that comes with the TV is sufficient for audio?
