Hello,

I am thinking of getting a simple video camera for vacations and stuff.
I like the idea of the cameras with the built in hard drive but, I am weary of what will work well with MAC.
There seem to be a few advertised as HD but, I doubt they really are and I do not want to get one of the bigger cameras that are harder to move around.
The palm size that I could keep on a belt is what I am thinking.
I have seen a few for around 400 US which is what I am thinking to spend.

Any recommendations?

thanks!

Why do people like these?

Where do you store the data from the drive. Do you take a Macbook Pro and a large external disk with you on vacation? With a tape based system you have built-in storage. Also the image on tape is not so badly compressed and is better for edting

Yeah,
I was thinking similar thoughts, but I do not know much about them.
Can you pop more storage in like a new tape?
