what can be deleted after finished project

After completing a few projects in iMovie 11 and burning them to DVD, I seem to be gathering a huge amount of rcproject files, as well as all the event files. How do I determine what all is safe to delete?

My system is Mac OS X vs. 10.6.8 if that makes a difference.
