I downloaded a movie which is a avid file just recently on my mac (which is a standard macbook NOT pro)

But it wouldnt work in quicktime so i download 2 different programs to play the avid file but all of them seem to only work if you have a macbook 10.4 version which i dont.

Is there any program that i can download to help run the avid file on my macbook or to change the avid file to something else so i can run it on quicktime???

Thanks

You say you are not running 10.4, what OS are you running?

VLC can run most anything... and with Perian and Flip4Mac installed with QT, I haven't found anything that won't run on my MBP
