Hey all. This is kind of a long story, but I have a friend whose Windows laptop has been giving him crap. The man is completely useless when it comes to computers, so after struggling with it for a while he decides to call Dell, and the lovely service reps tell him to reformat the drive. Not knowing what that means, he simply followed directions, and got a brand new install of Windoze, with over 40GBs of his pictures gone. He called me and asked me what to do. I told him to stop using the computer, pull the HD, and bring it to me. I really haven't used DiskWarrior that much (v. 3.03, and yes, I know that there is a 4 now) , and for some odd reason I thought it would be able to do something with an NTFS drive. I guess my question is whether there is anything I can do for this muppet. Can anyone think of any software that might be able to restore an NTFS drive via mac? I know there are a number of solutions out there for Windows, but (luckily) I'm nowhere near a Windoze box.
On the upside, this whole experience has pretty much convinced my friend to get a mac... though I bet he'll manage to screw that up. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks all
