iPod touch What can we expect from future firmware updates?

hopefully they will fix the safari freezing....and the other safari glitches.....flash player....future purchasing of apps...the possibilities are endless.
if anything gets unlocked or expanding capability wise, probably an apple update that breaks it

Hopefully VPN support so I can actually use the internet like Jobs said outside of my freaking dorm room..
VPN was removed from iPod touch to not compete with iPhone... Don't hold your breath.
Downloadable Apps would be cool.
I think it needs more functions for when the internet isnt available. What? I dunno, but thats why I don't work for Apple.

It's an iPod folks with some other functionality. If you wanted those other things, you should have purchased a different device. I wouldn't hold your breath for Apple to enhance its functionality although I can see them throwing the users a bone with a widget or two.
Agreed, id happily pay for decent mail/IM app. Also a good Youporn app
Also put an off button on the homepage, I hate pressing the button on the top, seems so mundane

I would like to see iphoto events supported on the touch.
And also the ability to browse and play your itunes library wirelessley, bundled up in a slick interface. ( I believe this is already available via a paid for web interface, but I want an out of the box apple app ).
Also the ability to download podcasts directly on to the touch from the wifi store.
And some games.

Either my first one was just glitchy, or it's 1.1.1 - but battery life seems more consistent and auto-brightness now works. In other words, I'd say future updates will fix things that otherwise should be running right.
