What Case for iPhone ?

I'm gonna be buying a iphone 3g in july when it comes out, and was wondering what type of case to buy, i like the look of the back silicon cases, but i was of the understanding that silicon cases just scratched whatever they were protecting themselves thats exactly the reason i avoided one and got a leather case for my ipod, would a leather case be any better for the iphone ?, the designs often leave parts revealed so dirt could get in. What about those clear protectors that are just sheets of plastic ?

Any advice and experience would be much appreciated

IMO, the clear protectors are the best, except for falls. This is especially true if you use a dock. The plastic is supposed to be military grade.

agreed. the series of plastic case can achieve the carrying and protection at the same time. more importantly, the case have no inconvenient effect for using your iPhone.
