So I got a kernel panic today for the first time ever. Thankfully, I didn't lose anything but was wondering if you folks could tell me what caused it based on the following:

Based on the following:
com.apple.iokit.IOUSBMassStorageClass(1.4.7)@0x2b407000
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily(2.6.5)@0x2a982000
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOStorageFamily(1.5.1)@0x2aa27000
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOSCSIArchitectureModelFamily(1.5.3)@0x2add6000
com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily(2.6.5)@0x2a982000

And this:
USB Device: DataTraveler 2.0, Kingston, Up to 480 Mb/sec, 500 mA

I'd guess that it probably had something to do with your flash drive. That's not to say that the flash drive caused the panic, just that it was involved. I am of the firm belief that even if an external device provides totally unexpected input, the kernel should handle it gracefully and should never panic. So more than likely, there's a bug somewhere in there.
