i mean other than the most blatant reason "it has antenna problems" why did my ip4 go into no service and i had to turn off the phone and turn it back on to get back service?

is there a concrete explanation of this weird phenomenon?

It happens with O2 here in the UK too. I think it just can't find a signal, and hence says no service. Simple as that.
