Samsung has announced the 840 EVO SSD's which is a very cheap SSD yet extremely fast with capacity up to 1000 GB of storage space.

And you obviously can't upgrade your rMBP to use these amazing new SSD's by Samsung.

I hope the Haswell rMBP offers user replaceable SSD's, cause else I have to consider the classic Haswell MBP.

Ok, so the current rMBP comes with pretty fast SSDs with up to 768 GB capacity.

The next generation rMBP will probably offer PCIe SSDs with even faster transfer rates. Most windows laptops and even the cMBP would not be able to reach those speeds because of the limitations of the SATA III interface.

Finally you can always buy one of those SSDs and put it in a thunderbolt external enclosure.

So, rMBP:
Fastest internal SSD
Fastest external storage options thanks to thunderbolt

Meh,

I'm happy happy with my rMBP, who cares of there's larger or faster SSDs, my laptop is fitting my needs as it is. Basically I'm content.

The only thing that sucks with the rMBPs are the fans.

Neither of these are going to happen. They certainly won't put 2.5" replaceable drives in the rMBP and the cMBP is unlikely to see an update.

And, for me personally, everything sucks about the rMBP.

This. Yes the 840 EVO is fast but it's just going to bump up against the ceiling of the SATA-III bandwidth limitations.

Hopefully by the time the Haswell rMBP's are finally released there will be a 1TB option. A $$$ option but one nevertheless.
