Google drive doesn't work. I like to edit my pages documents on iPhone and MacBook but am having difficulty finding a way to transfer them between devices.

Any ideas?

You mean Pages, the free Apple app that runs on both OS X and iOS devices, and uses iCloud for syncing?

Maybe I'm not comprehending... iCloud itself has capabilities to store and transfer all of your documents for a fee, to include your Pages documents.

settings>icloud>storage

How do setup iCloud and send documents???

Did you set up an iCloud account? If not, set one up. Then sign into icloud on your phone and on your MacBook. On the phone and MacBook, under Settings > iCloud, make sure Documents and Data is turned on. Do not upgrade your iPhone to iCloud Drive yet. You need to wait until your Macbook is updated to Yosemite before you do that.

Now, download Pages app to both your phone and MacBook. I don't have a Mac in front of me so my memory isn't clear, but on the Mac, when you start Pages, you can select between opening and saving documents in iCloud and on your computer. So if you start a document on your MacBook and save it to iCloud, it'll show up on your iPhone. If you start a document on your iPhone and you open Pages on your computer and select to open documents from iCloud, you'll see the document you started on your iPhone.

It says it won't work between iOS 8 and Mavericks! :(

Now what?

Now what?

It's working for me between ios 8 and Mavericks. Your phone must have gotten upgraded to iCloud Drive somehow. Like the poster above says, you will have to wait until Yosemite is released and update your Mac. Should be out this week or next.
