Difficult to discern the color of Starlight of the upcoming AW in the photos on Apple.com, would you say it's light gold or beige? How is it different from silver aluminum?

Looking at the S7 Aluminum “Starlight” watch on Apple’s website, it looked silver similar to my Series 4 watch. I ordered it online and picked it up yesterday at the Apple store. When I got home and opened it, I was shocked to see that it was a rose gold color! I showed a neighbor and my son and both said the color was rose gold. I will be returning this watch and will probably get the silver stainless steel watch. So disappointed!!

It looks slightly pinkish in the  store, goldish in sunlight, and silver in natural light. I think it’s really nice..

Starlight is silver with a hint of gold whereas the old silver had a hint of blue. It’s a personal preference, maybe like how people discuss whether screens are blue or yellow, but I prefer Starlight.

I wouldn’t call it rose gold though. I have actual rose gold Apple products and they’re nowhere near Starlight.

Of course if you don’t like it definitely return it.

Is your band silver or graphite color?
The band is graphite milanese. I like that combo much better than the silver milanese - it’s really elegant and elevates the starlight watch. My only gripe is that the compass doesn’t work well with the Milanese due to the magnets. The black nike sports band also looks pretty cool. It looks way better than the old silver with black bands, which looked really toyish compared to starlight.

Thanks - that band looks good too! I have always loved the elegant look of the Milanese bands!

Yeah, the pair looks so elegant together - better than the steel watch in my opinion. The Starlight color keeps changing for me, sometimes more silver, sometimes more gold. I’m enjoying it with the Contour Face when I’m going for a classy look.

Your pictures are pushing me to make this purchase ... even though I sit at my desk most of the hours in a day working on my computer. Don't know what to do with the Watch considering the work-from-home scene, but this combo looks so good, it is tempting.

I had a rose gold AW3 and AW4; my daughter had a Silver AW3. The new starlight color is considerably different from both of the old colors. It's really a warm silver. It's aptly named. I just picked up a Starlight watch yesterday and love the color. The standard band color is a very warm white, which my daughter has, but I got the Dark Cherry band. Starlight is pretty versatile to go with a lot of band colors.

Sorry about that :D Not to tempt you to purchase it, but for me my watch is the least necessary apple device, but my favorite one. My iPhone is necessary, my iPad is my creation tool, but the Watch makes my life better. I like notifications which prevent me from constantly looking at my phone and respond to the important ones, often short and sweet with the watch itself. I like how I can control my iPhone camera with it because I do a lot of photography. I like using it for navigating daily walks, drive or bus rides so I don’t have to keep taking out my phone to tell me which way to go. The little taps on the wrist, indicating a turn is coming up, is much nicer than always having to look at a screen. I like controling my podcasts and music through it after I intitially start it playing from the phone. I like recording voice memos when I meet someone and want to record the conversation discretely in case some important things are said. I like knowing the weather and sunset time. The haptic feedback combined with alarm and timers are extremely useful for me. Before I have a meeting, I set an alarm with siri 30 minutes before and my watch quietly reminds me by tapping me. I often need to wake up at 7am, and I wear my watch to sleep because I don’t like to take my phone to bed and get sucked in. It gives me the convenience of being connected without going to deep into apps. Of course, during my sleep time, it’s on sleep mode. In the morning, it wakes me up with discreet taps that can be silenced at the push of a button. When I cook, I often use timers so I can do something else and not come back to burnt food. I like health and fitness. Everyday i have a minimum amount of exercise I want to do and it keeps me on track without feeling like a burden. I like how when I use the outdoor walk tracking, it makes a map of everywhere I walk which is something I like to collect. I like using reminders and calendar on it. I simply set my schedule or add to-do list items as I think of it by using siri, and organize things later on my iPad or phone. It’s really nice how I can put things in it on the spot without having to pull out my phone and go into the app. It takes away barriers to get things done. I like how it also keeps me feeling safe, in case something bad happens, like an accident.

It’s funny, because I originally thought the only use for the Watch would be for me is controlling my camera. It’s become much more than that. And on top of it all, it’s a beautiful and elegant time piece on my wrist.
