And why can’t I commit to a color instead of buying black or white?

Finally decided I’m ordering a 16, and I have teal in my cart, but really struggling with whether to get black. I want a pretty color, but nothing ever matches.

Teal! I test drove a black 16 but ultimately stayed with a teal it’s such a nice color. And in certain light it’s blue ish like iPhone 12 blue.

I’m stuck between this and black. Teal because it’s so pretty, and black because I’m too practical (although I almost ALWAYS get white).

I considered the Ultramarine for my 16 Plus, but when I checked it at the Apple Store, the blue was too pale. If it were something like the 11th-gen iPad (which I bought in blue two weeks later), then I would’ve bought it.

I considered the teal, too, but I wasn’t sure I’d like it long-term, so I went with the good-old black, just like I did for every iPhone before it.

Teal. I try to get a different colour with each new iPhone. So far, I have had just the one repeat - black, white, space grey, silver, black, purple, midnight and teal.

I love that!! I wish I could do something like that but I’m too stubborn with Black.

Of course, they are mostly hidden in an Apple case but it's the thought that counts:D
That’s another aspect I considered: I always use a case, so colour isn’t too relevant.

How’s your Apple case going? After going through four Apple silicone cases with my 6s (my favourite case ever, the Midnight Blue I think it was called), I changed to an Otterbox Figura for my iPhone Xʀ. After 5.5 years, it is still fine.

I love Apple cases, but I couldn’t tolerate their durability and I repeated the formula with my 16 Plus. I got another Otterbox Figura. The Xʀ’s Figura is beautiful, the 16 Plus… not so much. I chose function over form, though. It worked too well.

I have posted elsewhere on this forum that I always love the look and feel of Apple silicone cases straight out of the box but, after a short time - the darker colours especially - they start to show every smudge and finger-print. I have two Apple cases for the 16. The later, periwinkle one is actually doing well but is only a month old. I like using my clear Spigen case, but Mrs K keeps picking up my phone by mistake when I do that...

Well, I got the teal. The only other color I’ve ever had is the deep purple on my 14 pro. Every other time I’ve gone white or black (mostly white).
I’ve liked the classic Apple colors… classic being associated with iPods blacks and white. My last iPhone was the classic white iPhone 13 mini. Easy to match case colors. But right now teal all the way. Unique and so nice. I’m rocking AppleCare plus with no case!

Interesting regarding silicone cases from Apple. I’ve always bought Apple leather cases for years. I’m disappointed they’re dumping leather.
