I’ve just prepared a draft order and delivery would be two weeks from now. I don’t want to order until there is more clarity on what is involved in adding RAM. Where I live, there are eight Apple stores, and pickup may prove to be faster than ordering.

Does anyone have thoughts on what configurations, apart from the two stock models on the web site, stores are likely to carry?

Probably a wise choice to wait and see how easy it is to change the RAM. I expect OWC will have a video on the day of release (unless they get one earlier).

I would guess that besides the two base configurations, Apple will see what the most popular BTO configurations are and provide them to the stores. I can't imagine too many "maxed-out" minis being in stock. I would think they should have i7's with 256 and 512 SSD's though, with both 8 and 16 GB of memory. The i7's seem popular as they were the first to become unavailable for November 7.

Apple Store usually have the already built options and a semi maxed out option. Probably i7/32 RAM/1 TB SSD
