Apple-HiFi-phonedock.jpg

My dad loves his Apple HiFi purchased many years ago. Great looking speakers, amazing sound quality.

Now he wants to buy something similar in similar form factor ("boombox"), that sounds as good.

Apple Hi Fi is no longer produced and no longer sold anywhere in my country.

What would you recommend?

We tried Yamaha MCR-140, but its not even close in terms of sound quality.

Thanks.

First of all, thanks for all your comments.

The Geneva Model S or Model M.

Beautiful design and sound. Very Apple.
I tried Geneva S in the nearby store, and the sound quality was average. The bass started crackling on high volume. I used ES Posthumus — Nara on my iPhone with "rock" EQ setting for testing.

Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin.

The one with AirPlay is very good. Very close to what I want.

Unfortunately it was over my budget, so I stopped on Harman/Kardon Go+Play II.
