Have you ordered a product from the Online Apple Store before? If so, what courier did they use and where are you located?

I plan to preorder an iphone 6 and be home on release day. However, in my area, certain couriers deliver way earlier (Fed Ex & USPS) than others (UPS) and I want my iPhone early on release day.

I live in the San Jose area in CA.

They will use either fedex or ups their choice.
I hope they do a preorder. I just wish they would do like they did for the iPhone 4 preorder with instore pickup.

I've seen the majority be FedEx and UPS too, but you cannot choose. And it generally has to be to your credit card's verified address (many complain/have issues with trying to get it delivered to an office instead of their house because of the signature delivery confirmation).

Last year there were a few zillion posts about delivery. FEDEX and UPS. You really do not have a choice.

Really - there were people actually tracking the planes as they left China with their package on it.

SICK SICK SICK

Well hopefully, unlike with the 5s we can pre-order again!

In the UK, we have FedEx, UPS, the usual big companies.

I work in San Jose, but live in the Eastbay.

Work
UPS: Early Morning
FedEx: Afternoon (3ish)

Home
UPS: LATE night
FedEx: Afternoonish

My point is that it depends on if it's a residential address and location, even with the same carrier.

It mainly depends on the location and their usually predetermined routes. Some locations will come earlier in the day than others depending on how the route was planned, which often mainly depends on what's best for that particular driver and the area/places that he/she needs to typically cover.

I agree. Point is, there is no pattern or hard evidence when and what courier will deliver OPs iPhone 6.
