What Cydia App do I use to add the battery percent thing like the 3GS? I do not want to completely erase the meter, just add the percent indicator next to it.

The fastest way would be to use SBSettings. Install it, Open it, Go to more and then Extras & Options, there activate the first option named "Numeric Battery" and voila!

I believe it was in SBPref's. With mine, I tap the battery and it switches to a percent and tap again, it switches back to the battery.

My method is better in my opinion because it gives you the percent next to the battery (Just like the 3G S and the way the OP wants it). I like having both the percent and the bar:p

thanks for the tip. does having sbsettings open always drain the battery more?

well i'm saying having it loaded in the background, not actually having it dropped down..

sbsettings allows my phone to have the percentage EXACTLY like the 3gs model...

very strange, i love it, but still strange.

i think it carried over from my old jailbreak, because it was like that before i used redsnow to rejailbreak it... whatev

after two years this thread is still helpful. thanks for asking the questions and thanks for answering them!

oh, wait: one year. i was looking at people's join dates. lol...oh well...still.

Im guessing you can activate it by editing the N82AP.plist file? like you can with homescreen backgrounds and multitasking..
using ifile find /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/N82AP.plist

im guessing its gas-gauge-batter that you have to change from false to true, not sure. (I enabled it when jailbreaking)
correct me if im wrong..

ive used this way with multitasking and it works perfect
