I'm going to purchase 13" or 15" rMBP next week during Black Friday sales.
What sort of deals can I expect from Apple, and from other vendors?

zero, although I think last year Apple had a small discount if you ordered for the Apple Store.

The Black Friday adds have been out for a week or so, have you looked?

The AIr is on sale and the basic 13"

$100 tops. Better off finding a student in your family to purchase with a discount. The student discount chops a big chunk off of the AppleCare cost as well (something you'll want to have for a rMBP IMO)

Amazon has the 13 inch Retina for $1,561.00 right now and I don't think that it will get much lower than that no tax and free ship

Some retailers will have a gift card offer with the purchase of a Mac - that might be a better deal than just getting $50-70 off the list price. Also, Best Buy has been running a %5 discount on all Macs fairly regularly over the last couple of years.

Yes indeed it's now dropped down to around $1560 for Retina 13"

It may actually go lower than this to around $14XX during peak holiday to clear stock, I would think (maybe).
