My sister wants to be able to move/copy all her photos from her 11 pro to a flash drive. Her MacBook pro is too old, and she’s retired and has no need for a new computer (she has an iPP). She DOES want a way to back up pics from her phone, and store them on a drive.

What can do this job? Thanks!

I have tried moving files from an iPad Pro to an USB hub where I had a microSD card inserted. Some USB hubs also have space for a flash drive, so I think she could try that, although she would need some adaptor with lightening cable. But that would be my advice, if she doesn't want to have a backup in the cloud with something like Dropbox, Google Drive or even Apples icloud service.

I think her issue is wanting to move photos from her phone to a storage device that she could also plug into her iPad to access the photos. Is that possible?

Something like this should work.

Has she considered iCloud? It would be the easiest way to access her photos from her iPad or computer

Not really an option where we live. She has several hard backups of photos, and we don’t have a good option for doing that kind of upload anyway. Internet is awful.

How about air dropping from iPhone to iPad or Mac ? Or yeah, iCloud ?

It really needs to be hard storage. We don’t have good enough internet to do cloud uploads and downloads, especially of photos. She lives right here on my street in rural flipping nowhere, and we just don’t have options.
