Hi folks,

Does anyone know what they could have broken in the 6.1.4 update?

This morning, my alarm clock didn't go off this morning and the battery had drained 8% overnight.

Previously this would have been 2 or 3% at most.

This is the first time I have experienced anything strange with this handset.

When I went to bed I switched off wifi and data like I always do.

Any ideas?

I think that there might be a problem with Mail For Exchange, it seems that my account sometimes deletes all the emails locally and downloads them again with no apparent reason :(

I've been using alarms with the Clock app with no issues on my iPhone 5 6.1.4. Well there was that one day they didn't go off, but that was because I forgot to turn them on

No dock or anything.

I had a strange experience where none of my music players worked. I keep them in a folder and they all crashed.
Many times problems are fixed by a hard reset and now they all work. Hope it helps.

My battery will drop from 45 to 20 percent now just by looking at the phone. This didn't happen until I updated to 6.1.4.

I am going to reset it like new and reinstall apps from iTunes and restore. If that doesn't work, I will repeat except reload all apps one at a time.

I deleted every app off my iPhone, except Sudoku due to a 1330 consecutive error free streak. I then backed it up, restored it to new and downloaded back the apps. Hopefully, that takes care of the problem.

Why is there so much fear with updating. Updating tends to correct existing issues discovered in previous versions.

In 6.1.3 most people noticed a decrease in battery life and 6.1.4 isn't much better. 6.1.2 was fairly solid for most people. So sometimes people are hesitant to upgrade. Some things get fixed, other things do worse than before. I wish I could go back to 6.1.2 myself.
