Hi,

My daughter has an MBP that came with Snow Leopard but, for some reason, she took it off and is running Leopard. She now wants to go to Snow Leopard.

Her install disks are in Texas. She's at school in San Diego. I'm visiting and I have the "Install" disk from Snow Leopard with me, but not the other disks that came with the software.

Will she be able to use my one disk to upgrade or will she need something from the other two?

Thanks.

Steve

PS. I am assuming that because her computer came with SL it is OK for me to use my disk to allow her to change systems. If that is not correct, please let me know.

The grey install discs that come with Macs are system specific, thus you cannot use your discs with her MBP and vice versa. The retail version will work with any Mac.

If she already has iLife installed, then she can just upgrade to Snow Leopard and iLife will not be removed.
