I am on OS X 10.4.11 (slow to upgrade I know) and I want to upgrade my system OS X finally. What product do I need to buy to get the latest software from apple?

Apple says you need the Mac OS X Boxed set. By you can use the Snow Leopard Upgrade disc. Its about US$100 cheaper.

What computer do you have? Click the blue Apple at the top and click "About this mac" and tell us what it says, as well as the Model number.

10.4.11 is a version of OS X, hence the name "OS ten". The later versions are OS X version 10.5 Leopard and 10.6 Snow Leopard.

If your computer is capable of running something later than Tiger, you will have to buy the Retail discs for whatever OS you're wanting to install.
