Hi guys. New to the forum but a longtime lurker.

I have a 2008 uMB in desperate need of an update, I have waited what feels like a lifetime for new macbooks pros (just like everyone else I guess) and am not really impressed with the offerings Apple released yesterday. So i'm thinking of purchasing a mid 2015 rMBP as there are around 10% discounts on them ATM in Australia.

I initially had a 13inch 250GB on order for $2068, but after some looking around I cancelled it and bought a 15inch 250Gb for $2600. I thought the $500 increase would be worth it for the 16GB of RAM and Quad Core processing as a means of future-proofing ( I would like this laptop to last me another 8 years)

Do you think that the higher RAM and processing power is worth the price difference? I'm not a video editor but I do use photoshop casually.
