What do i lose if i downgrade from 2.0?

I have a 3g and it was 2.0 on it. Do i void any warrenty? And also, what features will i lose? And last but not least, how exactly do i downgrade. I'm brand new to the iphone (had it like 5 days). Thanks!

You lose all functionality. You can't downgrade a 3G. It won't work.

There is a guy in this forum that downgraded his 3G to 1.1.4
He did it just to see if it'd work, and it did. He then upgraded it back to 2.0

But, why would you want to downgrade yours anyways?
Sure, 2.0 is a little buggier, but 1.1.4 wasn't that much better.

It's REALLY laggy. I keep having to reset my phone to keep my texts working to where i can type. It's super annoying. I think there are some MAJOR memory leaks
