So it seems like everyone is asking me what’s going on for NYE and I don’t have a clue.

Last year I was in a club. Year before nothing. Year before in another club. And I don’t remember before that.

But what’s the trend this year?

Spending time with the girlfriend and her family, then going home and meeting NYE on the rooftop (with her and neighbors) to see the fireworks for miles around. (I live in an apartment complex). A few friends (both as singles and couples) are throwing NYE parties, those are options as well (but we're probably staying in, not drinking, and waking up refreshed to go on a New Year's Day hike first thing in the morning).

Edit: 25

I've not done anything special now for about 5 years now. Tonight i'll be getting a few beers in at home, a takeaway and watch the London fireworks! Rock & Roll!

Prefer not to be hungover on New Years Day as I have it off. Plus it's football so!

I don't do much any more (I'm 36). It's 10:15 and I'm sitting at home on the computer... and surprisingly I don't hear much music from the neighbourhood (although someone let off some fireworks a little while ago).

Yeah I feel like everyone lives in their phones these days so when it comes to do something in the real world nobody knows what's going on

24. I try to find a house party. Some years I do some years I don’t. I do little to nothing if I don’t. This year I’m working on the first so it’s just a regular night

Narrator:
“... and that was the year the first MacRumors NYE Gatherings were organized. MacRumors would grow to eventually bring together all Mac and Apple fans worldwide in all major cities by 2025.”

Well it’s been a while since I was in my 20’s and 30’s, but 20’s would most likely be a party somewhere with friends. 30’s possibly at home with my wife and daughter.
These days (like last night), don’t even stay up to see the NY in. Just like any other night of the year.

Everybody ended up doing something.

I’m flattered I was the party plug this year though haha

I know I will regret asking and getting sucked into another one of these threads. What is a party plug?

Lol it’s just a spinoff of plug that I use for everything. I know I know, it sounds nerdy 🤓

When I plug walk I sort of keep my knees together ...

I've gotten pretty good, the Mistress requires I plug in public.

I was playing FFXIV Online. Took a two minute break at 11:58 PM PST to watch the countdown in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before that? I went to Best Buy and picked up an Apple TV 4K 64 GB for my bedroom, and had Arby's for dinner. I'm 31, and my GF is 25.
