What do the yellow, red and green lights mean on a self checkout?

At Wal-mart, there are these three lights above the Self Checkouts, red, yellow, and green. It doesn't seem to matter what color the lights are, as the self checkouts always work regardless of the color of the light, so what do those mean? People who work at Wal-mart can chime in!

Green - The machine is working.

Amber - The customer needs assistance usually when it asks if your old enough for a game or movie.

Red- The machine is down?
