Under location services there are system services. See the photo I have attached. I have turned off the ones that I believe do not need to be on. But for those that are on, what do they mean? And do they need to be on? I can't seem to find a comprehensive list of these or definition of each on Apple's website.

I looked up cell network search, and it's something about helping Apple figure out where people use iPhones the most. I don't think it needs to be on. I'm not sure about the others.
You may want to turn on location based alerts. I believe that's how you get AMBER alerts and things like that.
