OK, I'm like flipping out and I want to break something, someone or just throw some stuff at people out the window and hope it hurts someone and makes their kids cry. Like seriously, I want to punt a puppy with big eyes just for the hell of it.

Anyway, my question is do you know a good centerting excericise or something that calms you down when you're super pissed off? Just asking.

No kidding...I sing the fish-alive song (it is also great for exam stress, and especially brilliant for when I'm at the top of one of those free-fall rides):

One, two, three, four, five
Once I caught a fish alive
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten
Then I let it go again
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on my right

I can get really upset with my self, but i am getting older, when something hits me I try to remember how foolish I looked all those times before.

Sit down and relax, don't be silly, it won't help much.

when i'm fuming, i usually head to the gym. it's a good way to take advantage of and get rid of the extra energy.

I used to punch and kick stuff. Ruined a lot of furniture over time, as well as breaking a few bones (mine, not ones I just had lying around the house ;)).

These days I'm a lot more chilled out though. I tend to just shout a couple of swear words and leave it at that.

I have never been completely out of control crazy. When i do get really pissed off, i tend to start punching the wall. The pain from that usually brings me down after about 5 minutes

sleep keeps u in check

i have notes posted all over my desk saying things like "stay cool" and "slow down" and "its easier when ur relaxed" for when i get frustrated studying

Well I crush people when they are all happy or if they piss me off, like when my sister kept copying what I was saying so I told her what happends at the end of a Harry Potter book she was reading. But when theres no one around to crush I smash small eletrical devices hence why I am on my 4th iPod.

Seriously?

I run. Go for a brisk jog 'round the neighborhood and work up a good sweat. By the time I get back I'm fine.

If I can't do that? Meh, I just try to chill.

I don't get angry, if something goes wrong then I try to fix it, if it's out of my control then I'll accept it. But I always find myself really relaxed after taking a day off life and going for a huge walk. When I saw everything around here I got a bus and went somewhere far, when I saw everything again I got a train instead.

i go for a walk. i used to drive, but i don't anymore due to angry fast driving (never a good thing). sometimes yelling helps.

That about sums it up for me. Fortunately, I can't remember the last time I became frothing mad, but I usually grab a walk or a drive when I feel myself losing control. Anything to get away from the situation for awhile. I also lock myself away and listen to music, which in these instances will usually be instrumental music such as videogame soundtracks or classical music. I don't have a lot of "angry music" in my library, but I try to avoid it as much as possible when I'm upset.

During the nice seasons (everything other than winter), I try to go for at least 2 hour walk a weekend. It keeps me quite happy and centered, and it's always pleasant to see all the vivid life going on out there. It really helps to wash away the workweek's trivialities.
