Picked up an iPhone air but now have about 4 cases from my iPhone 15 Pro. What do you do with your cases?

I always have only one apple case per iPhone. I sell the phone every year and keep the case as a souvenir.
My collection starts with the legendary iPhone 4 Bumper. Memories...

Sell them on a marketplace like Facebook/ebay/etc. Or trash depends on the quality they are in.
I can relate to this.

When I first got my iPhone 5s, I obviously ended up collecting the most cases.

I had like 45-50 cases, many name brand ones. Almost the amount of my Apple Watch band collection.

When it was time for me to upgrade to the iPhone 7, I decided to dispose of the old cases. I put the ones that were damaged or broken in the trash, and I sold the ones that I never used or lightly used, or that were still in good condition, at a garage sale, donated to a charity shop, or gave them away to a friend who still had an iPhone SE.

I had a lot of H&M cases for the iPhone 5s space grey, but after I got the iPhone 7, I gave those old cases away to an old friend at my school who still had a rose gold SE. She liked them.

The last three iPhones up to my current 15 pro I kept the collection small and I only get a case of one of them break or yellow out, or if there’s a sale on them. Only kept like 6 cases for my 15 pro, and the least was 2 with the iPhone XR (only had it for a year while waiting for the 15 pro to drop in price)

I threw mine all away, they were used leather and silicone cases. I do still have my Suti phonebacks, might just give them away here.

Have been hoarding ever since iPhone X. Every case has a memory with it as it lived with me through that year. It's hard to give it up. It's also hard for me to let go of the phone, makes me sad for sometime but I get over it lol.

I’m tired waiting for my Caudabe Sheath to arrive; they have pushed back their shipping estimates. I’ll probably cancel the order soon and find something else that I can get quickly. But in the meantime I simply used a Stanley knife to enlarge the camera opening in the Sheath that I had for my Pro Max 16. Took about 10 minutes IMG_2449.jpeg

I used to think my previous phone case was like a companion, because it was always with me. So even after I changed my phone, I would still keep the old case. But as time went by and the number of cases kept piling up, I started to realize there wasn’t much point in holding on to them — I wasn’t going to use them again anyway. In the end, they were just taking up space, so I decided to throw away the ones that were damaged.

some combination of:
-sell OEM individually (not for much but usually a small market for them for people with older devices wanting new accessories no longer for sale)
-hand them down to people who still have the device
-stuff em in a box and forget they exist
-sell em with the phone as a packaged deal

It always makes me reconsider how many cases I should buy with each upgrade lol. I've gotten more restrained over the years, but I've still been known to dabble.

iPhone 12 Pro and 14 Pro Max I think were the worst offenders in terms of how many I bought lol.
