What do you guys use to install custom themes?

Im a noob at this so trying to get all the info before I go through with it. Do you guys use winterboard? Or you use something else?

I will be using a windows 7 pc by the way.

Also I'm on a tethered jailbreak.

Winterboard from Cydia. HOWEVER, Winterboard has not kept up with iOS4.2.1 changes, so parts of your themes won't work without some manual intervention.

I also use iPhone Browser to get to the iPhone's file system and place files manually.

I use WinSCP to browse into the phone from my XP box to modify/create themes. Winterboard is great to apply existing themes, but if you're going to be hacking them, you need to get in and out of the file system.

I use a combination of WinterBoard and iFile. I use iFile to get into the file system and replace files and edit text.

You can jailbrake it using Redsn0w, but it's a bit finicky. I did mine recently and it didn't go without a fight, but it went. It will also be tethered.

Your the first one I heard of having IP4 & 4.2.1 with untethered JB. Pretty sure, everyone would like to know how you did it.

The untethered jailbreak is available from the dev-team in beta. Lots of people have used it, but it s not without problems. Most notably Bluetooth is disabled. Also you can't use it without 4.2b3 blobs at the moment.

You can replace both if you like but it's not necessary. If you have a 3G/3GS, you'll need to replace the regular icon (icon.png) If you have an iPhone 4 then you'll need to replace the @2x.png files.

My bluetooth works just fine.
