Personally I hope Apple doesn’t turn around and show us a slightly beefed up iPhone 4 with this new voice technology.

Apple, thanks to their marketing team, has obviously lived up to their paid-for hype the last few times so here’s hoping they can do it again.

What do you guys think?

I don't understand why so many people are doubting that Apple is going to deliver another awesome product.

Also this voice tech is going to be huge. If we can truly use the iphone as an assistant and dictate text messages without having to speak like a robot.. that is just amazing, it is candylicious!

Because apple's history is not one of producing updates that are large in scope but rather small incremental changes.

Right, but every time they do people love it... so why is everyone thinking it is going to suck this time?

The name "iPhone 4S". It's stupid, and I don't want to see it ever again.

Probably because Apple's competition is throwing more things into their phones and if apple only does a few updates, there will be a larger discrepancy between what an iPhone offers and the competition.

I must be the only iPhone user that doesn't really want a new screen size. If they make the screen bigger, surely they will keep the same resolution. If they do that, the DPI would actually be less than the iPhone 4.

I love the size and the current screen of the 4. If I want to use a device with larger screen, I reach for my iPad.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

Voice tech huge? Sorry my definition of huge and yours must not be the same. I don't need a digital assistant, I need a bigger screen.

I agree with several posts above. This 4s thing is getting a little tired. Whatever they do, it will be called a 5. I really want a bigger screen though, 3.7" and up would be great.

I'm convinced the 3GS was named as such, purely to put the naming structure back on an even keel, as the second generation iPhone was called 3G, as we all know.
There's no way Apple would keep people waiting this long, only to bring out a small, iterative version of the iPhone 4.

I hope there isn't a new body design. Aesthetically speaking, I much prefer the iPhone 4 form factor over the previous ones. Ideally, I'd like to see the Next iPhone come with a slightly modified iPhone 4 design: round off the corners of the exposed glass edges and a non-glass back. But even if it came out in the exact same style as the iPhone 4, I'd be perfectly happy with that.

The last thing I want is the rumored teardrop shape. Do. Not. Want. At all.

I don't want to see that. A whole new design is better. A5 chip is a must. Bigger screen and larger memory. 1 G RAM I guess.:)

Also I hope Apple will release cheaper iPhone. Is it possible?

they just enabled dictating text messages in WP7.5 Mango, and its awesome! Im getting the new iPhone when it comes out, so I hope they have the same feature. Its not useful in most places, but theres scenarios where it is great
