What do you think about this dongle and extra battery case for MacBook?

I've found this Kickstarter project that looks very interesting not only does the case have all the necessary ports but also has a extra battery. I would have preferred if it was made of same material as Mac and I can't seem to find info if you can charge the case and Macbook at the same time.

I'm not a fan, not interested in adding bulk to the whole computer in order to get an extra port and battery.... But if you're the type that uses a case on their computer then its all good.
