How can I opt out? Just walk in and say i want to opt out? or do i have to explain the situation?
On the one hand this seems pretty horrible. On the other hand it seems rather inevitable, particularly when you read and understand the meaning of the fine print on page 60 of your agreement (not literally, just a figurative example).
Yes this is bad, but VZ is certainly not the only company doing it- just the latest to disclose it in a somewhat more transparent manner.
Opt out- while you still can. And be vocal about it. Email the FCC. Because, crap like this should be disabled by DEFAULT.
