I know there is various bands. But I'm kinda expecting base bands to be $50 going up to $200 off for that nifty stainless mesh one.

I can imagine people having heaps for different outfits etc.

You think I might be right?

probably. I'd like one of the sporty ones and a stainless steel one. It looks like they are super easy to swap/
 
The big question I have is can I use any band on any watch. Apple's website makes it confusing. If you go to the watch page for the individual watches:

Each of the three pages shows totally different bands. So can I use a apple-watch band on a apple-watch-sport? Probably but the website doesn't make that clear.

They all appear to attach the same way so I don't see why not. However, not all bands will coordinate well due to the color-coded buckle (and digital crown dial on the Edition version).
