What do you think of this MacBook Pro touch? Would you buy it?

If that's the next-gen Macbook at the same price then, yes, I would upgrade...

I don't know if I could live with that flat keyboard. For me fast touch typing requires some feedback in my finger tips in order to type. It is slick looking though but Apple does the form over function thing a little too much at times. Some of us actually use our computers for work. ;)

Yeah, I wouldn't want a keyboard with no response...

Would like to see the rest of it. Speakers? Power button? Those are missing from the right-hand side due to cut-off.

There must be a Star Trek marathon on TV again.

Dude, you'd have to hose that thing off at least once a day. Apple would need to issue a squeegee with every unit sold.

Awful keyboard, I like the thin bezel and large touchpad area but it needs a keyboard, would be nasty typing on a screen.

Nice try, but this has horrible written all over it. My hands couldnt touch the computer unless i was trying to input something. Gaming and typing would be awful since I wouldnt be able to rest my fingers on the keys, and the trackpad would suck, since I rest my arms on it

But it's Apple. They would make it know the difference between a palm and a finger trying to use the trackpad. It would be able to read your thoughts.

Lame joke aside, I'm sure that can be done and has been done to some extent already. The first iteration would work well for most people, but then someone like me with twitchy fingers and perma-clamy hands would break it.

Also, who games with a trackpad? It wouldn't be difficult to have a setting disable the trackpad when an external mouse is in use. I heard they might have lost the feature with SL, but was possible on Leopard with a BT mouse at least. You just wouldn't be able to feel the keys......

Stop complaining, or Steve Jobs will hear you and he'll switch all the notebooks to this technology regardless if you want it or not! He's listening now... shhhhh...

If apple says this is what you want and need, you would buy it overpriced and smile while doing it.

make it spill proof and you got a deal. See if its touch and not the way its now then there is no gaps. So no cracks for the snapple or beef fat to leek through. :D So essentially it can be spill proof. Otherwise no sale. Too expensive.
