i predict the new iphone 3g will be released the monday right before june 11th
it will have an all black or white plastic back and come in 3G

also GPS

also price drops


That will all happen on the monday before June 11
 
The muckity-mucks at AT&T and Rogers will be as giddy as school girls!!

....more money has a way of doing that to overly-rich old farts.
 
I don't expect anything from Apple to be honest, I think that they feel they gave us all that they can give. I expect maybe 1 new app for the home screen like dictionary or something, that's it.

I'm excited about the new iPhone though, new look, 3G, GPS, App Store, can't wait. I do feel Apple could throw in some more native 1st party apps, but we won't see any until maybe the winter of '08.
 
Before July 11th? I vote "More feverish ranting/guessing/parsing from half-helpful quotes and articles while waiting for AT&T/Apple to wake up and spell everything out clearly."
 
Only one person has voted for the release of the iPhone Pro.... I do not think anything will happen between now and July 11th other than hearing what AT&T is going to do for people that cannot upgrade because they are in a two year contract.
 
Nothing at all. We're less than 30 days away from now. I don't see too much happening between now and then. Everything that needed to be said has been said.

What makes you think a iPhone Pro is going to be released? Why won't apple just wait to release the another iPhone next summer? I don't think that apple would release anything but an upgrade to the 3G iPhone. If they were going to have a pro version wouldn't they have already announced it since they are two different product lines that would be marketed to different types of consumers. This would make the most sense to me but then again I'm not Steve Jobs....lol

I don't know, I'm not Steve either but reading these forums, there IS a market for it. I've read countless posts that said "I would've paid $599 if it....blah, blah. blah" Apple loves releasing PRO versions, what makes you think that they won't? They only want one version at a time? :confused:

I agree 100% with your comment. I'd pay $599.99 for a Pro iPhone if it came with x2 6mp cameras (front & back) and 32Gb.

Be happy with what was announced. Curious though, has Apple ever announced a new product, then by the time it launches (~ 1 month later) announced super-new hardware and software for it? It doesn't seem likely they have, but I'm not sure.

Either way, we've got an exciting new phone coming, with some great software enhancements, and the opportunity for so much more (app store).
 
...I guess I'm not the only pessimist. The iPhone will come exactly as they announced this past Monday.

Although I do hope I'm wrong.

The obsession with the "iPhone Pro" is that the new iPhone isn't up to Apple standards. While the iPhone 3G is still way ahead of most phones in the market, it seems to be lacking a little.

Also, Apple loves to have "Pro" versions of devices (i.e. Mac Pro > Mac, Macbook Pro > Macbook, and Classic > Shuffle/Nano).

It just seems like an Apple move to have a "Pro" version.

What im hopping for is a new color announcement, possibly a Product(RED) iphone, now that would look sweet
 
well hoping lots and lots of manufacturing so there isnt a shortage.

I hope they are spitting those things off the line now instead of holding back some super secret hardware features like forward facing camera that only 1% consumers will use :)
