What do you want from MWSF?

Announcements I'd like to hear at MWSF would be:

Software
1) Safari update with https problem fixed (and works in all 10.x)
2) Appleworks 7. Totally redesigned to bring it into the 21st century
3) iCal updated - I don't care what! I just love this app and can't wait for the next set of new features
4) iPhoto update including sub-folders in Albums and import from scanner

Hardware
1) A cheap iPod!! I only have 225 songs!

Other
1) iTunes Australia!!!! PLEASE!!! Though... then I might need a bigger iPod! hahahaha
2) Slash the price of .Mac
 
Well to that list add the G5 processor updates and it wouldn't hurt to see an update to ichat.
 
-speed bumped powermacs
-G5 xserves
-bigger hard drives in the xraid
-G5 powerbooks
-G5 imac's
-G5 cube
-iChat AV overhaul
-A consumer music editing program (iapp for music)
-new displays
-new apple pro speakers to match the G5
-2 button apple mouse
-update on how iTunes is dominating the market
-Some sort of Tivo option for the mac from apple themselves
-Price cuts are always good too
-It's also nice to be suprised!

Virtual PC for G5
Half-Life 2 for Mac
MSN-Compatible iChat

That'll satisfy me :)
 
Duff-Man says...if the rumors of the top G5 going to a Dual 2.4 are true (and I think they are) then I think it will be time to retire the Dual 800 and move up....oh yeah!
 
As most here, I'm looking forward to an iPhoto update. I don't really care about added features, just give me speed! It's embarrassing showing people my new super-fast, slick Mac, and having iPhoto ruin the whole show.

I am also looking forward to the mystery iApp. Who knows what it could be. It's gotta be great though, as all of Apple's iApps have been. Very exciting!
 
What I would like to see is:
- Faster Power Mac G5's
- G5 Xserves
- Something special for the 20th anniversary of the Mac (Maybe a G5 Cube?)
- AppleWorks 7
- New version of Safari
- Maybe a cheaper iPod
- iTMS outside the U.S. and statistics on iTMS sales

I really want to see something special for the Mac's 20th anniversary. The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh (when Apple was 20 years old) is awesome! Image what type of cool product Apple could come up with. AppleWorks is very overdue for an upgrade. It's a nice program, but it really needs improvements. Also, Safari has been out for quite a while and we have not received any noticable upgrades to it.
 
Personally, the list of stuff I'd like to see happen is:

-G5 speedbump. Even 2.4 would be plenty.
-G5 Xserve.
-Updated displays.
-iMovie update (no new features necessary, just improve performance to something near 2.x levels)
-Cheap(ish) iPod.
-SOMETHING new with Appleworks--even just an upgrade.

I have a feeling everything but the last one is relatively likely, based on current rumor standings. The only ones that'll directly affect me, though, are iMovie (less now that I have FCE) and the displays, though I don't know if I can afford one.

Other things that might well make the cut, even if I'm not looking for them:

-Speedbumped iMacs. New form factor maybe, but after the 20" it seems a little soon. Perhaps a minor stylistic update, ala the 2nd-gen CRT iMacs, but I wonder if they'll do that this time.

-Speedbumped PowerBooks, maybe, though I'd expect those a bit later.

-Other iApp updates, probably.

-Some sort of cube-like thing? Could happen!

What I want

A 20th Anniversary Mac in the design legacy of the Cube. A nice G5 processor in it too!


It'll never happen I suppose, but it gives me a reason to save money.
 
All i want to see is progress, with the years of Motostagnation any progress will be a good thing. i have been pretty concerned about motorolas lack of progress after all Apple was using a G4 1.42 a year ago and today the fastest G4 is 1.33:confused: :confused: :confused:

I say i think its time to retire the old dual 450 and move up:D

I don't think Steve lives in SF. I thought he was in San Mateo or Palo Alto.

these are all vey realistic, undemanding wants... very impressed with your contraint... congrats!
