Hi,

I'm seeing conflicting info online and on Amazon.

Basically I want to have 2x 1080p displays on my desk at all times. Then when I plug my macbook I'll have three screens. Surely it can't be this hard?

Thanks!

Cheapest solution I've found (that actually works!) is the belkin minidock - doesn't handle power.

The Dell WD19TB is a solid option but no matter what combination of dongles I use with it I can only get it outputting to 1 monitor - use a standard hdmi>usbc direct to the mac for the other.

The Dell D6000 is a good option to consider as well. I use that with both the Dell XPS 13 and MacBook Pro 2020 and it allows me to extend the desktop to two HD displays.

Thanks! So you plug one cable into your MacBook Pro and it charges and connects the two monitors?

Yeah you need to download drivers from DisplayLink and when you follow the installation instructions you can't go wrong. You need to give DisplayLink screen recording preferences to ensure your desktop appears on all screens.

Thanks! I'll give that one a go.
Pity Mac has to go with these fancy docks to do something windows laptops can do with a $30 adapter...
