I own MBP 2010 i7. Recently(or more like throughout last year and this year) noticed the start up speed and general performance was going so slow.
So I did few google search and stumbled upon the page where it recommended to type in few commands into the terminal. It did make everything a lot faster(except reincarnation of dreaded beachball sign seen on some 2010 MBP).
But during the process of typing in few commands I noticed below texts:
puercaeli$ sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
Seagate Storage Driver.kext does not declare a kernel dependency; using com.apple.kernel.6.0.
Seagate Storage Driver.kext does not declare a kernel dependency; using com.apple.kernel.6.0.

Now when I just got the machine, I did have Seagate HDD installed on it but after it became obvious Beachball phenomena was being caused by it Genius replaced it to Hitachi HDD. So does this mean my MBP is trying to load Seagate HDD driver when Hitachi HDD is installed or is this just remainder from when I had Seagate HDD???
